Others: Dear Readers, random

Who’s there?…ME, JOSH! And I’m starting all over. It’s time for a revolution, baby; a radical regime change or at least something to pump up the volume. We here at TWJ have been slacking, as obviously stated by our measly 2 posts in almost 2 weeks, and due to this poor output I had an epiphany: I NEED NEW SHOES!!! But besides the fact that my sneaks had ran their course I also realized that you out there, yes you – the sad, lonely thatwasjunkies, needed more. More posts, more movie info, more news, more this, more that, more processing power and more vegetables in your diet. But mostly just the first two and a half (men). Well I, for one, am prepared to lie to you and say I will give you this so called “more”. I will try my hardest to post useless reviews and random rantings as often as humanly possible. I will also dig deep into my soul to find out what it is you really want, even if this means I have to start making homemade porn of me and Dave gettin’ it on furry style. I, on behalf of all of us here at comedy central, swear to bring you the good stuff.
You’re quite welcome.

The Monthly Fivegoo / Dear Readers

Others: Dear Readers, Fivegoo

Dear readers,

We’ve been operating for just under a month now and we’re glad to see that some people are reading and checking out what we have to offer. It’s been an interesting month and a lot of things are being worked out/discussed on a regular basis on how to make this place functional for you and us. We also want to make this place more than just us reviewing and talking about movies that we watch, so we have some things we must impart to you.

Now, we know our readership is slim right now, but that’s fine. We have a few things coming up and in the works that could help make this place a little more entertaining and reader-friendly.

First, we have a feature coming up that will be known as our “Monthly Fivegoo” or just simply “Fivegoo.” We’ll figure out titles and stupid logistics later. Anyhow, a “Fivegoo” will be a conversation between all four TWJ members that has something to do with movies. These topics will vary from month to month based on whatever we feel. For example, topics could be something like “Top 5 Action Movies of All Time,” “Most Anticipated Releases of the Year,” or “Let’s Talk About Why Crash Sucks So Hard.” We plan on recording these conversations to video and then posting youtube links for your viewing pleasure. Things may change over time, as we haven’t done any yet. You can expect our first Fivegoo to happen/be posted just after the Oscars take place. Our first Fivegoo will focus on a post-Oscar wrap-up and how we thought it went, what should’ve won, what shouldn’t have, what was funny, who said dumb shit, etc. So yeah, we will begin working on these Fivegoo’s and hopefully over time, they will become more interactive and conversations that spill over into our readership.

Next, we would like to encourage our very few readers to talk to request stuff. Just recently, Kyle did a review for the movie Bloodsucking Freaks which was recommended and requested by a reader. If you would like ANY of us to review ANY movie, comment on a post, e-mail us (link is on the right), or whatever. Get in touch with us in some way so that we can check out this movie and give it the proper review. We might hate it, we might like it. We’d like to include our readers as much as we can, and this is a great opportunity to bond us eternally. So, if you have something you’d like us to review or just check out, get in touch with us.

Lastly, to any and all readers, we sincerely thank you for checking us out this early on. Things will get better than the decrepit state we’re currently in, but stick with us. If you like what you see, bookmark us and check us out when you can. If you know someone who might be interested in what we do, send them a link. We’d like you to stick around and even give us some feedback/comments/ideas/suggestions. We really love you all. I promise you these things forever and ever.

Sincerely,

That Was Junk
